The price of MMA in Asia hit a 22 month high
at the end of last week, the price of methyl acrylate (MMA) in Asia reached a 22 month high, exceeding US $2000/ton (CFR Northeast Asia), mainly due to unexpected tight supply and strong demand in the region
Both buyers and sellers believe that the tight supply situation continued in the fourth quarteron October 6, the price of MMA in Southeast Asia was estimated at USD/ton. The price is at this level. The last time it occurred in mid January 2005, it was USD/ton
since February 2006, the regular maintenance of large devices, unplanned shutdown and the strong demand for downstream polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) as shown in Figure 1 have supported the price rise of $20-50/ton per month
the spot supply is not sufficient, but the purchase interest is very strong. Traders said that due to tight supply, many buyers in the region have begun to accept disability quotas
some MMA manufacturers, such as Mitsubishi Rayon, said that they are also actively purchasing ocean going goods to meet the contract supply and their subsidiary PMMA devices
traders said that even in China, in CAI Tongmin's view, the feasibility of express packaging recycling is low after the National Day holiday, and the market price rose by 500 yuan/ton to 18500 yuan/ton on the 9th
